A guy who I met online and started dating after a day or two did a guitar cover of this song a few years ago for me because he knew I loved this song. I met him online, I was young, struggling with severe mental illness and I hadn’t been in any sort of therapy at that point in time… long story short I texted my guy friend in a flirty way but due to trauma I never seen the wrong in it at the time. Now I see the wrong in it. Although I didn’t know him for very long and I was a teen, I remember what I did to him clearly and it hurts to this day. I cared for him and I made a stupid mistake. Now I listen to this song whenever I am in therapy or going through an episode as it reminds me of him and that I need to keep going and keep on trying to be the best person I can be. James, if you were ever to come across this message.. know that I am sorry, know that I have matured and made myself a better person because of what I did to you and lastly l hope that you are doing well and still rocking the guitar as you were amazing. From the bottom of my heart, I hope you take care and have a beautiful life

It hit me really hard at the time, and especially so going through and grappling with the motions of teenage despair and clinical depression for the first time.
